51.5 x 67.3 cm. Original outline colour. Folding map of North Wales, orginal outline colouring marking the county boundaries. Numerous panels of descriptive text to the blank areas. The whole dissected into 16 sections and mounted on linen. Paperlightly lightly toned overall, small dampstain to centre of map at intersection of folds. Paper just starting to lift from linen at a few places, but otherwise a good example.

The map originally appeared in Bowen's "The Large English Atlas", an edition with the imprint of T. Bowles, Sayer and John Bowles & Son was published in 1763.
