Very large (c.159 x 191 cm.) hand-coloured engraved map of Great Britain, dissected into 48 sections and laid on linen, contained in modern half dark brown calf over marbled boards slipcase. Slight browning but generally very good.

Intended to accompany Joseph Priestleys "Historical Account of the Navigable Rivers, Canals, and Railways, of Great Britain", 1831.
Pinpoints and names the extraordinary multiplicity of mines which covered the whole country.
