2 vols. in one 4to. (30.5 x 23.5 cm.) Full contemporary straight grained green morocco (possibly by J. Wright but not signed), richly gilt, the sides with broad foliate borders, spine with raised bands gilt decorated copmpartments, inner dentelles gilt, marbled endpapers, a.e.g.. Ex libris John Clark Brodie. 64 plates on India paper, each with accompanying leaf of text (except for plate 10 as in the Blackmer copy, presumably never publsished) A truly fine copy.

Hugh William Williams was a Scottish landscape painter who earned the soubriquet Grecian Williams following his tour to Greece published in 1820 as Travels in Italy, Greece and the Ionian islands... (Blackmer, 1811)
