An Accurate Map of England And Wales Drawn from all the Particular Surveys hitherto Publishd Illustrated with many additional Improvements And Regulated by Numerous Astronomical Observations Made by Members of the Royal Society. [London: Robt. Sayer, opposite Fetter Lane, Fleet Street. N.D., but c. 1765].

Overall dimensions 59 x 51 cm. Folding map of England and Wales with original outline colour. Title to upper right corner incorporationg an elaborate illustration of a seated female figure (Boudicca?). The whole dissected into 16 sections and backed onto linen, folds into old marbled paper covered slipcase with printed title label to upper board. Old ink ownership inscription of W. Hudson to linen verso, a newer ink annotation stating that W.H. was a "friend of a Thomas Scarf 1780?". Slipcase very worn. Paper starting to come away from linen at several points. Margins shaved to neatline on all edges. Paper toned overall.

The map appeared in Emanuel Bowen's "Large English Atlas", various editions around this time.
