Folio. (55 x 43 cm). pp. title+dedication+xxiii+contents+22 (index)+maps. Later half tan calf over pale green cloth boards, spine with twin gilt lettered red morocco labels, marbled end-papers.. Comparative chart of the principal mountains (b&w) plus 74 consecutively numbered hand-coloured map sheets, as called for, mostly double-page maps. Occasional minor creasing and light off-setting, generally a very good copy.
