Alfred Hayes, Jr. (July 4, 1910 – October 21, 1989) served from 1956 to 1975 as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Lieutenant-Colonel (George) Rowland Stanley Baring, 3rd Earl of Cromer, KG, GCMG, MBE, PC (28 July 1918 – 16 March 1991) joined Barings Bank, founded by his ancestor Sir Francis Baring in 1938. In 1961, he was appointed Governor of the Bank of England, a position he held until 1966. Benjamin Strong, Jr. (December 22, 1872 – October 16, 1928) was an American banker. He served as Governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for 14 years until his death. Lester V. Chandler, 1906-1988 was an economist, author and adviser to the Federal Government during World War II.
