Sporting Architecture.

FIRST EDITION. 4to. (29 x 23 cm). Original publisher's binding by Runting of plum ribbed cloth with blind-stamped border and gilt architectural vignette title to upper cover, a.e.g. Complete with a total of 43 engraved and lithographed illustrations including frontis., title etc., some full page, some two or more to a page, some vignettes etc. All as called for. Head of spine slightly chaffed, corners bumped, some spotting, generally a crisp copy in superior condition.

George Tattersall (1817 – 1849) was an English sporting artist and architect, who's family ran what is still today the main auctioneer of race horses in Europe from Newmarket, England.
